COLTS NECK — The township’s own Jacquie Lee, who has been competing on NBC’s The Voice, performed again on Monday for a national TV audience, and again was selected by judges to move on to the next level.
Lee, a 16-year Ranney School student, performed “House of the Rising Sun,” the classic Animals’ number, singing it as a duet with fellow contestant Briana Cuoco (sister of actress Kaley Cuoco of The Big Bang Theory), with judges picking Jacquie.
Jacquie will now move on to the Knock Out round of the competition, which will probably air in two weeks’ time, according to Marc Swersky, her manager.
Earlier this season, Swersky acknowledged Lee was showing signs of nervousness.  “Who wouldn’t be nervous performing for 35 million people?” he said.
Now,  “she’s landed,” showing confidence and ability, he said.
