HIGHLANDS — A borough man was arrested on Tuesday twice for allegedly violating a restraining order, by repeatedly sending threatening cell phone messages and texts to the victim.
According to the borough police criminal complaint forwarded to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Andrew M. Weyrick, 41, listed on the complaint as homeless, was taken into custody and charged for violating provisions of the Domestic Violence Act. Police said Weyrick had been taken into custody earlier in the day, allegedly for the same offense, posted bond, was released, and arrested again later.
His bail for the second charge was set at $7,500 with an order from the judge not to contact the victim, according to the complaint.
