10/5 – Biotech High Receives National Blue Ribbon Honor

FREEHOLD – Biotechnology High School has been selected as a National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education for 2014.
U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan recognized Biotechnology High School this past week as a National Blue Ribbon School for 2014 based on their overall academic excellence or their progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups.
The department recognized 337 schools because they have demonstrated that all students can achieve to high levels. The department will honor the 287 public and 50 private schools at a recognition ceremony on Nov. 10-11 in Washington, D.C.
In its 32-year history, the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program has bestowed this coveted award on nearly 7,900 of America’s schools. The award affirms the hard work students, educators, families and communities in creating safe and welcoming schools where students master challenging content.
