11/21- Men Charged with Shoplifting Appliances from Sears

MIDDLETOWN – Two men were arrested by township police yesterday for allegedly shoplifting nearly $1,500 worth of appliances from the Sears store on Route 35.
Cory A. Alexander, 28, of Keansburg, and Jason R. Ware, 30, of Keyport were each charged with shoplifting, a third-degree crime, according to the police complaint forwarded to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Freehold.
The men, police alleged, carried away eight kitchen appliances, valued at $1,498, and exited the store at 1500 Route 35 before being apprehended, according to the complaint.
Municipal Court Judge Richard Thompson set the defendants’ bail at $15,000 each, without the option to post a 10 percent bond.
