RED BANK – The borough council is scheduled to conduct a hearing at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, about alleged liquor license violations at FIXX nightclub, 26 West Front St.
Police issued two administrative summons in September and October alleging the nightspot violated provisions of its liquor license “for allow brawling and disturbing acts of violence,” related to two large brawls that occurred inside and outside the location, Police Capt. Darren McConnell said previously.
The borough council functions as the local agent for the state Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) and will render a decision on the violations. A conviction on the two violations could result in as much as 30 days of forced closing for the bar, officials said.
The council initially intended to hold the hearing on Nov. 13, but rescheduled due to a scheduling conflict for the bar’s attorney.
The hearing will be held in the borough council chambers/municipal court, 90 Monmouth St.
