1/14 – Port Monmouth Man Charged in Assault

MIDDLETOWN – A Port Monmouth man was arrested on Monday for allegedly assaulting a woman, threatening her life and the life of her child and possessing narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
Thomas S. Adubato Jr., 34, Willow Street, was charged with striking the victim, hitting her in the face with closed fists and kicking her in the head, causing visible injury, according to the criminal complaint township police filed with the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, in Freehold.
Police said Adubato told the victim he would kill her and her child if she contacted police. He also was allegedly found with two hypodermic syringes believed to contain heroin in liquid form.
Municipal Court Judge Richard Thompson set Adubato’s bail total at $20,000, without the option to post a 10 percent bond, according to the complaint.
