MIDDLETOWN – The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office’s Super Storm Sandy Fraud Task Force will hold a joint clinic on Tuesday with volunteer lawyers who will be available to offer free legal advice for county residents still struggling with the effects of the October 2012 storm.
Representatives from Volunteer Lawyers for Justice will be on hand from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Bayshore Activity Center (Seabrook-Wilson House), 719 Port Monmouth Road, in the township’s Port Monmouth section, to consult and assist the public. Those determined to need further assistance could be referred to volunteer outside counsel, where financial eligibility requirements apply.
Along with the volunteer lawyers, representatives from such county, state and federal agencies as the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and state Department of Consumer Affairs, FBI, Internal Revenue Service and the state Division of Taxation and U.S. Department of Homeland Security will be available.
