FREEHOLD – An Atlantic Highlands man was charged in a four-count indictment that included attempted murder.
A Monmouth County grand jury on Tuesday handed up the indictment against 23-year-old Joseph M. Dickey 3rd, additionally charging him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon, according the indictment.
Middletown police arrested Dickey at his Thousand Oaks drive apartment on Sept. 17. Authorities at the time of his arrest said Dickey stabbed his roommate, a 24-year-old man, multiple times during the course of an argument.
The roommate, who was not identified, was airlifted to an area hospital for treatment.
