Red Bank Catholic has returned to glory after a dominating 45-20 win over Delbarton in the NJSIAA Non-Public Group 3 Championship game for the first time since 1976.
Alumni from that ’76 team, along with many past teams, were present to celebrate and cheer on the 2014 Caseys.The Caseys started off fast, getting out to a quick 6-0 lead in the first quarter after two fumble recoveries, one being on the opening kickoff.

Senior running back Tommy Spernal led Red Bank Catholic with 3 touchdowns, two from inside the red zone and then a third which was a 41-yard trot to paydirt.

With the crowd behind the Caseys for the entirety of the game, Red Bank Catholic came out in the fourth quarter and would not let up. A 14-point barrage all but put it in the bag for RBC, after a 1-yard touchdown run by running back Mike Cordova and a blocked punt recovered for a touchdown by linebacker Nick LaGrippo.
