MIDDLETOWN – Gov. Chris Christie has postponed planned town hall meeting, scheduled for this morning at VFW Post 2179, due to inclement weather.
The rescheduled date is expected to be announced later today, according to the governor’s office.
It’s the second time the session has been postponed for snow. The session, which is Christie’s 110th town hall meeting, was initially slated for Thursday, Feb. 13.
The meeting at the 1 Veterans Lane post in Port Monmouth is intended to provide an opportunity for Christie to discuss the administration’s plans for the second round of federal Sandy recovery money. It is, however, the first such public meeting the Christie administration has scheduled since revelations and allegations involving the traffic lane closures at the George Washington Bridge last fall.
