2/20 – Walk Through a Garden of Art This Weekend at Sickles

LITTLE SILVER –This Saturday and Sunday is the annual Artists’ Weekend at Sickles Market.
The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 22-23 in the greenhouse at 1 Harrison Ave. Each day approximately a dozen artists will display their art and hold demonstrations surrounded by beautiful plants and flowers.
The event is free to the public. Artwork is for sale with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the artists.
The art alone is reason enough to attend, however a simple walk through the natural, light-filled greenhouse with colorful flowers, lush fauna, heavenly fragrances and the melodious sounds of water fountains all work together to relieve the winter doldrums.
“We are lucky to have so many talented local artists dedicating their lives to creating works of art and Sickles is happy to allow them to exhibit in our greenhouse,” said Bob Sickles, third-generation owner of Sickles Market. “Our greenhouse is stocked full of beautiful plants and the natural light is perfect for displaying art.”
Artists’ works in several mediums, including watercolors, oils, pen and ink, textiles and recycled materials, will be on display.
