2/3 – Middletown Man Arrested for Shoplifting

MIDDLETOWN — Police arrested Thomas R. Gingerelli, 27, Lorraine Place, Middletown, on Feb. 2, charging him with shoplifting and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Gingerelli had allegedly taken about $256.74 worth of merchandise from Sears department store, 1500 Highway 35, according to the criminal complaint police filed with the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Freehold. Police said Gingerelli took various items of a video gaming system.
Police also said Gingerelli was allegedly in possession of two hypodermic syringes, as well as having “wax folds,” envelopes commonly used to store heroin; two spoons often used to cook heroin for injection; and a piece of material that is used to tie around the arm of the drug user for injections.
Gingerelli’s bail was set at $5,000 without the option to post a 10 percent bond.
