2/8 – Christie to Hold Town Hall Meeting, Mobile Cabinet Session on Thursday at Port Monmouth VFW

TRENTON – Gov. Chris Christie will host his 110th Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, Feb. 13, in Middletown Township.
Joined by members of his cabinet, the governor will outline his administration’s plan for getting the second round of federal Sandy recovery funds into the hands of New Jersey families.
Residents can RSVP to TownHall.Middletown@gov.state.nj.us. Doors open at 10 a.m. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis and open to the public. No bags of any kind are permitted in the venue and personal items are subject to search.
Following the Governor’s Town Hall, a Christie Administration Mobile Cabinet will remain on site to meet with affected residents and answer questions related to the available Sandy recovery housing and business assistance programs. Homeowners and business owners interested in attending can expedite the process by bringing relevant documentation related to the issue they are facing.
Christie will be joined by Community Affairs Commissioner Richard E. Constable III, Environmental Protection Commissioner Bob Martin, Human Services Commissioner Jennifer Velez and Economic Development Authority CEO Michele Brown.
The Sandy Recovery Town Hall will begin at 11a.m. at VFW Post 2179, 1 Veterans Lane, Port Monmouth.
Representatives of the state departments of Community Affairs, Environmental Protection, Human Services and Banking and Insurance and the state Economic Development Authority will be at the mobile recovery cabinet to assist Sandy-impacted homeowners and businesses from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. that will follow the town hall meeting at the VFW post.
