TRENTON – State Senator Jennifer Beck will be spending Friday night and Saturday morning sleeping on the street.
Beck, R-Monmouth, a Red Bank resident, will be participating in the Covenant House for the Legislative Sleep Out.
Beck will join other legislators from across the state to draw attention to the problem of New Jersey homeless youths and to encourage supporting Covenant House, a charitable organization dedicated to helping homeless and at risk young people.
Covenant House provides 157 beds nightly in New Jersey to homeless adolescents and services to more than 2,000 annually, Beck said in a released statement.
