FREEHOLD — A Monmouth County grand jury has indicted Rashaun A. Fentress, 31, River Street, Red Bank, this week on charges of credit card theft and attempted fraudulent use of a credit card. According to the indictment, Fentress allegedly obtain the card and then attempted to use it at an Exxon gas station in Tinton Falls.
A Middletown woman was arrested by Aberdeen police for fencing stolen property. Police have charged Dolores J. Costello, 32, who’s last know address is Thompson Avenue, Middletown, with theft or unlawful taking or exercising control over certain moveable property and for selling, or “fencing,” the items, valued at $405. Police said Costello took the items from the home of a friend on March 19, according to the criminal complaint police have forwarded to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Freehold.
Costello’s bail was set at $10,000
 
MIDDLETOWN — Police have arrested Jose Lopez, 26, Liberty Street, charging him with unlawfully entering a neighboring residence and obstructing the administration of law, by allegedly attempting to prevent the arresting officer from taking him into custody, according to the criminal complaint police have forwarded to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
Lopez’s bail was set at $10,000 without the option to post a 10 percent bond.
 
SHREWSBURY TOWNSHIP — Police have arrested and charged Todd D. Stathum, 45, Emmons Street, Long Branch, with the armed robbery of the Shrewsbury Mini Mart deli and liquor store, Crawford Street, on April 11. According to the criminal complaint police have forwarded to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Freehold, Stathum used a silver and black pellet pistol to threaten the cashier while robbing the establishment.
Stathum’s bail was set at $350,500 without the option to post a 10 percent bond.
 
MIDDLETOWN — Police arrested a township man on April 12, charging him with assault and with damaging property in the office of the victim. According to the criminal complaint police submitted to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Freehold, Kenneth Lewandowski, 50, Tatum Drive, was charged with causing reckless bodily harm when he allegedly grabbed the victim’s left arm causing bruising on the forearm. Police said Lewandowski broke the window and damaged the door of the victim’s Newman Springs Road office, causing damage in excess of $500.
Lewandowski’s bail was set at $7,500 with the option to post a 10 percent bond.
