4/24 – Long Branch Man Charged with Violation of Contractor’s Registration Law

FREEHOLD – A grand jury this week indicted a Long Branch man charging him with trying to do renovation work at a Middletown home without being properly registered with the state Division of Consumer Affairs.
Jorge Ligeiro, 53, was charged in the one-count indictment with being in violation of the Contractor’s Registration Act, by allegedly attempting to sell home improvements on April 23, 2013, without the state required registration, a fourth degree crime, according to the indictment handed up Tuesday.
