The 4th Annual Pro Am Shana Surf Jam was held this past Saturday morning at the Monmouth Beach Bathing Pavillion after several postponements earlier in the month due to weather and poor wave conditions.
The Surf Jam is an annual event put on by the Shana Foundation, a non-profit charity formed in July 2007 to educate the public and health care professionals about the dangers, warning signs, symptoms, and treatment protocol for bacterial meningitis.
The Surf Jam featured live music, vendors, food, giveaways, prizes, and awards for several events and competitions. For more information visit The Shana Foundation website.
