Former Sea Bright Councilwoman Dina Long took the oath of office as mayor of Sea Bright at the borough's annual reorganization meeting Jan. 7. Long, a Democrat who has served on the council since 2002, defeated her Republican opponent, Joann Kalaka Adams, in a race for the mayoral slot last November after former Mayor Maria Fernandes announced that she would not seek a second term due to health concerns. Monmouth County Freeholder Director John P. Curley administered the oath of office.
