ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS – The Atlantic Highlands Police Benevolence Association Local 242 will host its 27th annual ball on Friday, May 23, at the Shore Casino.
The event for many residents is an annual rite of spring.
Dining, hors d’oeuvres and an open bar combined with a charity auction featuring dozens of prizes are expected to attract large numbers of residents.
Over the years, P.B.A Local No. 242 has contributed proceeds from the event to local organizations, including the AH Historical Society, Henry Hudson Regional High School and the Atlantic Highlands Elementary School. This year, the proceeds from the charity auction are being given to the Atlantic Highlands Chamber of Commerce
Chief Jerry Vasto said town businesses have always been generous to the PBA and they wanted to return the favor.
The chamber currently is seeking donations of baskets, gift certificates or cash to be auctioned at the ball. Donors can email, call or drop off items at the chamber office. Donations also can be arranged to be picked up.
In addition, the chamber is supporting the journal ad sales. Additional information is available by contacting Chuck Lero, chamber president at 732-996-1629 or info@atlantichighlands.org.
Tickets are $75 per person and can be purchased from any officer, at police headquarters or by calling 732-291-1214.
Tickets are also available from the Chamber of Commerce.
No tickets will be sold at the door.
