FREEDOLD — A Monmouth County grand jury has indicted an Oceanport man for allegedly burglarizing a Fair Haven home in February.
The grand jury indicted Jeffrey R. Hayet, 22, of Blackberry Bay Drive on charges of burglary, theft of movable property, receiving stolen property, escape and aggravated assault on a police officer, according to the indictment.
Authorities said Hayet broke into the home on Feb. 17 and took an iPhone5, iMac laptop computer, a digital camera and case and an iBox video game console. The escape charge pertains to Hayet allegedly failing to return to official detention following temporary leave granted for a specific purpose or limited period, according to the indictment.
A Red Bank man was indicted for fraudulent use of a credit card and theft of movable property. According to the two-count indictment, Antonio Ramos, 52, of Newman Springs Road, allegedly used a Wells Fargo credit card issued in someone else’s name and made purchases in Red Bank, Tinton Falls, Shrewsbury and Eatontown, between August and November 2013, at an Exxon gas station, Spirits Unlimited liquor store, Foodtown supermarket, a Dollar General dollar store and Burger King restaurant.
A Monmouth County grand jury also indicted Gary D. Grieser Jr. 20, of Navesink Avenue in Highlands, charging him with one count of burglary. According to the indictment, Grieser allegedly entered a Highlands two-family residence on Sept. 25, 2013, with the intention of taking valuables.
