60th Annual Red Bank Sidewalk Sale July 25-27

RED BANK – Red Bank RiverCenter is presenting Red Bank’s 60th Annual Sidewalk Sale taking place Friday through Sunday, July 25-27, in the downtown business district.
The sale hours are: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
The special anniversary sale will feature clearance items and bargains at patrons’ favorite Red Bank stores and some new additions, including The Spice & Tea Exchange, Be Barow, The Doc Shoppe, Victoria Beauty Lounge and Angel’s Gowns.
Participating shops are located on Broad, Monmouth, White and Front streets. Borough restaurants and eateries will be open to give people a break from shopping for lunch, dinner or snack.
Shoppers will be able to take a stroll down memory lane as the history of red bank is celebrated during the 60th sidewalk sale. Throughout town store windows will feature historic photos, thanks to Dorn’s Classic Images and PowerHouse Signworks.
In addition, there will be a special pop-up gallery/museum at 27 Monmouth St. during the hours of the sale. There will be Red Bank photos, memorabilia, artwork and more on display from Dorn’s Classic Images, The Red Bank Public Library, artwork from Penny Ticehurst, The Red Bank Fire Department and other private collections.
Shoppers are invited at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 26, to hear about the oral history project now going on with Elizabeth McDermott from the history room at The Red Bank Public Library. The new initiative is working to capture all of the memories and history of the town.
People can come see how they can be a part of the project and are invited to check out the RiverCenter website and Facebook page for additions to the gallery.
Visitors to Red Bank also will be able to enjoy the free StreetLife musical performances from noon to 3 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
