RED BANK – Borough police arrested David Stecher, 45, of Belmar for attempting to break into a Broad Street residence on Thursday, June 12.
The owner of the single family residence saw a man at approximately 10:15 a.m. allegedly attempting to open the front and side doors, according to the criminal complaint police submitted to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
Stecher’s bail was set at $25,000 without the option to post a 10 percent bond.
MIDDLETOWN – Township police arrested two Hazlet residents in two separate incidents and charged them with shoplifting at Kohl’s department store.
Philip B. Donnelly Jr., 53, of Hazlet, was arrested and charged with shoplifting $216 in herchandise on Thursday, June 12 from the 800 Route 35 store, according to the criminal complaint police submitted to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
Township police also arrested Vivian R. Tortoriello, 65. Police allege Tortoriello stole merchandise valued at $1,049 from Kohl’s, according to the criminal complaint.
Donnelly’s bail was set at $5,000 while Tortoriello’s bail was set at $2,500.
FREEHOLD – A Monmouth County grand jury handed up a four-count indictment on June 13 against Mariah M. Richmond, 22, of Highlands and charged her with possession and intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance.
According to the indictment, Richmond was allegedly in possession of heroin and in Keansburg on or about April 6 with the intention of distributing the drug within 1,000 feet of school property and within 500 feet of a public park.
