6/26 – Middletown Man Charged with Drug, Throwing Star and Knife Possession

MIDDLETOWN – Township police arrested James C. Catapano, 28, of Walnut Street in the township’s Port Monmouth section, on Monday and charged him with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with the intent to use drug paraphernalia and possession of weapons.
Police found Catapano allegedly in possession of five bags containing synthetic marijuana with the bags marked “Scooby Snax,” “Dead Man Walking” and “Green Giant,” according to the criminal complaint police submitted to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Freehold.
Police charged that Catapano was in possession of two additional plastic bags that had synthetic marijuana residue and throwing knives, sharp-edged throwing stars and a blowgun.
Catapano’s bail was set at $35,000.
