The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch through 10 p.m. today for most of New Jersey, including Monmouth County.
Thunderstorms are predicted this afternoon and tonight, and they could be strong with gusty winds, according to the weather service. Torrential rain, high winds, some hail and even an isolated tornado are possible. Flooding is possible in some areas.
