FREEHOLD — The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office now has a Facebook page. The prosecutor’s office will use the page, www.facebook.com/MCProsecutors.Office, as another means to keep the public informed, providing the latest updates about arrests, indictments, convictions and sentences.
It also will be a way for the office to keep the public aware of events and emergency situations, Monmouth County Acting Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni said in a released statement.
The page is intended to complement the office’s existing website.
“Facebook is the most popular social media website in the world – we stay in touch, we learn the news and we grasp the world through our Facebook experience –making the website critical to the needs of the community when it comes to disseminating information to a broad-based community like Monmouth County,” Gramiccioni said.
Facebook members who “like” the prosecutor’s page will be able to automatically receive updates and information from the office via Facebook.
