SEA BRIGHT – The Mad Hatter Pub will be hosting the annual Dunesday bash on the beach from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday.
Dunesday, traditionally the third Saturday in July, features live music from noon to 12 a.m. Saturday, July 20. The popular event had been hosted by Donovan’s Reef for many years. That establishment was destroyed by Super Storm Sandy in October
In addition to being headlined by Brian Kirk & the Jirks, Dunesday has been graced over the years by performances by and/or the presence of Bruce Springsteen, Colin Hay and Lazlo Bane.
Dunesday is a fundraising event. This year’s recipients will be the Sea Bright First Aid Squad and Fire Department. The borough’s emergency services lots tens of thousands of dollars of equipment during the super storm.
The event, which will feature 10 bands, will be held on the beach behind Mad Hatters, 10 E.Ocean Ave.
