7/22 – Fair Haven Police Invite Community to Participate in National Night Out

FAIR HAVEN – The borough police will hold its annual Night Out Against Crime on Tuesday, Aug. 5. The program will begin at 5 p.m. at the borough Youth Center, located behind police headquarters, 35 Fisk St.,
Along with information about crime prevention and children’s safety, the program will feature a MONOC air medic unit helicopter, which will land on the field behind police headquarters.
Other family friendly events scheduled are: a dunk tank, sponsored by the Foundation of Fair Haven; a Fair Haven Fire Department-sponsored inflatable bounce house; a tent featuring four different games, courtesy of the Fair Haven First Aid Squad; a martial arts demonstration; and members of the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office’s K-9 squad offering demonstrations, among other attractions, including a special appearance by McGruff the Crime Dog.
Complimentary food and soft drinks will be served and there will be drawings for prizes donated by local businesses.
The National Night Out Against Crime is a 30-year effort founded by the National Association of Town Watch to promote community participation in crime prevention programs and police-community partnerships.
