7/28 –Applicants Sought for Brookdale Trustee Post

FREEHOLD – The Brookdale Community College Trustee Search Committee is seeking resumes for an open seat on the college’s Board of Trustees.
“This is a terrific opportunity for a resident to take a dynamic role at New Jersey’s best community college,” said Freeholder John P. Curley, liaison to the college. “Brookdale needs leaders who will help steer the future course of this quality, affordable higher education institution.”
Applicants should be interested in taking an active leadership position as a trustee of Brookdale Community College and be knowledgeable in the opportunities and challenges of higher education.
The post is an unpaid position with a term of four years.
“We welcome the participation of community members in helping to lead Monmouth County’s community college,” Freeholder Deputy Director Serena DiMaso said. “I cannot stress enough the importance of post-secondary education and its role in strengthening our workforce and our local economy.”
An applicant must be a resident of Monmouth County for at least the last four years and must not be an elected public official.
Interested individuals should submit a resume to the Brookdale Trustee Search Committee c/o Marion Masnick, Clerk of the Board, Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders, Hall of Records, 1 East Main St., Freehold, NJ 07728.
All resumes must be received by 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, at the Clerk of the Board’s office.
Prior applicants are urged to update their resumes, even if they are still on file, and to express their continued interest.
