TINTON FALLS – Two Red Bank men and a man from Long Branch were charged yesterday with breaking into a Tinton Falls home and assaulting the resident.
Police have charged Timothy A. Johnson, 27, of Leighton Ave. and Larry E. Johnson, 37, of Montgomery Terrace, both of Red Bank; and Kwame N. Johnson, 37, Hulick St., Long Branch for their alleged involvement in the home invasion, according to the criminal complaint filed with the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Freehold. The relationship among the three, if any, was not immediately known.
The trio allegedly broke into the William Street home on Monday, July 1, and during the course of the burglary “caused bodily injury” to an unidentified victim, resulting in “contusions and bloody abrasions,” according to the prosecutor’s office.
The alleged assault was intended as “retribution for an ongoing dispute,” according to the complaint.
Bail was set at $10,000 each for Kwame and Timothy Johnson, and $2,500 for Larry Johnson, without a 10 percent bond option, according to authorities.
