7/8 – Red Bank Man Charged with Possession of Small Amount of Marijuana

RED BANK – Police arrested Rolando Chimella-Peregrima, 24, West St., and charged him with resisting arrest and possession of a less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphelia, according to a criminal complaint filed by police with the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the complaint, Chimella-Peregrima allegedly got into a physical altercation with police at approximately 8:50 p.m. in a West Street residence. During his July 4 arrest, police discovered what the complaint says was marijuana and a silver and black “grinder” used grind the drug, containing marijuana residue.
Municipal Court Judge William Himelman set Chimella-Peregrima’s bail at $10,000 without the option to post a10 percent bond.
