Louis D'Alotto

Red Bank Regional (RBR) Academy of Mathematics and Science student Louis D’Alotto of Little Silver was selected to perform in the prestigious All Shore Jazz Band this past February at Manalapan High School. Louis taught himself the guitar at the age of 14 mainly from books and performances on the Internet. He began studying last year with renowned jazz guitarist Roni Ben-Hur in Teaneck. He also plays first violin in RBR’s String Orchestra. Although science is an equal passion for Louis, a junior at RBR, hopes to study jazz guitar in college when he graduates in 2013.

Freshman Jenna Kowitski, a clarinet player, joined her fellow classmates. All four students reside in Little Silver and study under the direction of RBR band teacher Kerry McNulty. The All Shore Band held its major performance on March 25 at Colts Neck High School.
