NEPTUNE – The Alzheimer’s Association will present a workshop, entitled “Understanding Memory Loss,” from 2 to 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, at the Monmouth County Connection, 3544 State Highway 66.
Memory loss that disrupts everyday life is not a normal part of aging. The program will explore the difference between normal age-related memory changes and abnormal changes that are associated with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia disorders, including the warning signs of Alzheimer’s disease. The presentation will discuss the importance of receiving a thorough diagnostic evaluation when symptoms first arise, current treatment options and research advances.
All programs are free and open to all Monmouth County residents, but advance registration is required and may be completed by calling 732-303-2828.
