MIDDLETOWN – Township police arrested Trevon J. Vaccaro, 19, of Main Street, Matawan, on Wednesday, Aug. 13, charging him with possession with the intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, crack cocaine, according to the criminal complaint.
Vaccaro’s bail was set at $50,000 without the option to post a 10 percent bond.
HOLMDEL – Township police are charging Craig J. Ruge, 33, of Kearney Street, Keyport, with removing himself from official detention without lawful authority.
According to the Wednesday, Aug. 13, criminal complaint, Ruge allegedly fled from a room in the emergency department of Bayshore Community Hospital, 727 N. Beers St., and exited the hospital while in police custody.
MIDDLETOWN – Police arrested Nicole Welch, 29, Bergen Street, on Wednesday, Aug. 13, and charged her with being a fugitive from justice and hindering apprehension.
Police said Welch is allegedly wanted for parole violation in New York and gave township police a false name and birth date in an attempt to avoid apprehension, according to the criminal complaint.
Welch’s bail was set at $125,000.
HOLMDEL – Township police arrested Gregory A. Vanmyers, 27, of Pinetree Boulevard, Old Bridge, and charged him with shoplifting.
According to the criminal complaint, between June 3-14 Vanmyers allegedly stole power tools, valued at $2,760, on four separate occasions from Lowe’s Home Improvement, 2194 Highway 35.
Vanmyers’ bail was set at $15,000 without the option to post a 10 percent bond.
COLTS NECK – Township police arrested Bernard L. Byrd, 29, of Round Hill Court, on Wednesday, Aug. 13, and charged him with theft of movable property and possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana.
According to the criminal complaint, Byrd allegedly stole multiple pieces of jewelry, valued in excess of $1,000, and attempted to sell them to a jewelry buyer/pawn shop.
Byrd’s bail was set at $2,500 in full.
MIDDLETOWN – Township police arrested Bennett Jones, 49, of Oakwood Place, Keansburg, on Wednesday, Aug. 13, and charged him with criminal mischief and simple assault. Police alleged Jones broke a motor vehicle window, causing lacerations to the victim’s arm.
Jones’ bail was set at $2,500 with the option to post a 10 percent bond.
