8/19 – Red Bank to Hold Meeting Wednesday about Grow Monmouth Façade Program Grants

RED BANK — Mayor Pasquale Menna will be holding a meeting Wednesday afternoon for business and property owners to offer information about grant opportunities to improve structures located in area eligible for funding.
The 2 p.m. meeting will be held in the council chambers in the municipal complex, 90 Monmouth St.
The mayor will provide details about the Grow Monmouth Façade Improvement Program. The program, administered by the county’s Grow Monmouth Program, will provide funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Development’s block grant to eligible private property owners for work on commercial buildings.
Grant recipients could get as much as $1,850 for façade upgrades, such as new awnings and doors and fresh paint. Property owners are not required to provide matching funds, but the total cost of the project cannot exceed $1,850. A total of $7,500 has been set aside for Red Bank; almost all of the borough is included in the eligible area.
Menna is urging all store owners, property owners and anyone who is interested to attend Wednesday’s informational meeting.
Grant applications will be available on the Monmouth County website at www.visitmonmouth.com, starting Friday.
