TINTON FALLS – The Tinton Falls Borough Council will be voting Tuesday on a resolution that, if adopted, would authorize Mayor Michael Skudera to execute a shared service agreement for municipal court services with the boroughs of Eatontown and Monmouth Beach.
The agreement, which will result in saving for all three municipalities, could save Tinton Falls up to $150,000 a year. The resolution will allow all three towns to share the same courtroom, court offices, administrative employees, equipment and supplies.
The measure also will conserve resources and provide for a more efficient and economically sound municipal court system.
“Borough Administrator Gerry Turning and I have been actively working to promoting the use of the Tinton Falls courthouse” Mayor Michael Skudera said. “Gerry Turning’s hard work goes well beyond saving money; this agreement actually generates positive revenue for Tinton Falls.”
The Tinton Falls courtroom is a modern and spacious facility. It has been used by the Monmouth County Superior Court and has hosted countless state, county and local events.
