TINTON FALLS — The Monmouth County Park System has revitalized the swimming pool at the Fort Monmouth Recreation Center to make it available for use for a wide variety of programs and summer camps offered each year.
Acquired last year from the Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Authority (FMERA), the recreation center included amenities such as classrooms, a gymnasium, a game room and an outdoor swimming pool, making it a location for an array of activities.
In mid-July, necessary improvements were made and the pool opened for use by some of the recreation center’s summer campers.
The pool will be open for the public to enjoy an open swim from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16. The cost is $15 per family of four and $5 each additional person; cash or check only. No rafts will be permitted.
The recreation center is located at 2566 Guam Ave.
