RED BANK – Anil Mehta saw his day and business as the manager on duty at the Welsh Farms disrupted this afternoon as a customer’s car hit the front of the 110 East Front St. convenience store, smashing a front window.
“It looked like she lost control,” Mehta said of the female driver, who is a regular customer.
The late model Volvo the woman was driving hit the store’s bread delivery box, located at the entrance, at about 2 p.m. , causing the window to shatter.
“It was a big noise,” Mehta said.
There were no injuries.
The window was covered with a wooden sheet and will be replaced shortly, he said.
