FAIR HAVEN
The Knollwood School’s eighth-grade graduation dance chili fundraiser will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 24 at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Fair Haven Road.
The event will feature a traditional chili dinner with all homemade items including cornbread and lots of desserts.
Tickets can be bought at the door for $10 per person; children 10 and under are $5 per person. Take-out containers also are available for $10 each.
The dance will follow the graduation ceremony at Rumson Fair Haven Regional High School in June. After graduation the students return to Knollwood School by bus.
After returning to Knollwood, they all run down Third Street back to Sickles School. There – with the help of a huge parent volunteer committee – the gym is transformed into a huge party scene, theme-decorated and kept undercover until that night.
Proceeds from Chili Night, which has been a huge success in past years, go toward creating the magical atmosphere and party.
