Transition Monmouth is holding its fifth do-it-yourself reskilling workshop of the season on Sunday, Aug. 18, at the Eatontown Farmers’ Market.
Herbalists Joey Sobel and Wendy Weiner (frontyardfarmer.net) will present herbal first-aid preparation. Drop in any time from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Wampum Park, Route 35 and West Street, at the gazebo.
The workshop is sponsored by iDeserve Studio, Eatontown.
 
OCEANPORT
Cannon Sport & Social Club is looking for new teams and/or individuals over the age of 21 to play in its Sunday morning co-ed slow pitch softball league, set to begin Aug. 25. All ability levels are welcome and the emphasis is on having fun.

TINTON FALLS
The Jersey Shore Rose Society will hold its monthly meeting on Saturday, Aug. 24, in the community room at Kensington Court Assisted Living, 864 Shrewsbury Ave.
The meeting will feature a beginner’s clinic from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. conducted by consulting rosarians. The main meeting will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. with Bill Kozemchak who will speak on prepping roses for the Jersey Shore Rose Society Rose Show, which will be held on Sept. 14 at Deep Cut Gardens in Middletown.
