FAIR HAVEN
The Knights of Columbus Council No. 3187 will be holding its annual spaghetti dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1.
The dinner, which will be held at the Knights Hall, 200 Fair Haven Road, will feature spaghetti, meatballs, salad, dessert and coffee.
The cost is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and children. There will be a cash bar.

LINCROFT
The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Monmouth County is holding a film screening of “GMO OMG!” at 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, at 1475 W. Front St.
The film is described as a timely, informative, entertaining, and ultimately insightful documentary about the question that’s a growing concern to citizens around the world: Who controls the future of our food?
Following the film, there will be a discussion led by friends at Food and Water Watch.

MIDDLETOWN
The League of Women Voters will be moderating a candidates night from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, at Lincroft School.
The candidates for Middletown Township Committee and Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders will answer questions submitted by members of the community.

Candidates slated to attend are candidates for township council, Republicans Stephanie Murray and Tony Fiore and Democrats Patrick Short and George Mardinly, and for Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders Republicans Lillian Burry and Gary Rich and Democrats Joe Grillo and Larry Luttrell.
Additional written questions from the public can be submitted at the door, which will be answered by the candidates as time permits.
Lincroft School is located on Newman Springs Road. Parking is available at Lincroft School and also at the Thompson Park athletic fields.
RED BANK
Pilgrim Baptist Church of Red Bank, along with the Seacoast Mass Choir will be hosting an evening celebration of music and dance, in recognition of Pilgrim’s 118th church anniversary.
The celebration will take place at the Pilgrim Church, 172 Shrewsbury Ave, at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18. The doors will open at 4 p.m.

RUMSON
Congregation B’nai Israel of Rumson (CBI) will host a day of old-fashioned, farm family entertainment Sunday, Oct. 26, at Congress Hill Farm at 118 Federal Road in Monroe.
CBI members and nonmembers alike are welcome to join in the fun. Registration is required by Oct. 23. The day will feature a lineup of activities the whole family can enjoy, including a kosher-style barbecue, outdoor sports, hayrides, nature trails for walking/biking (bikes will be provided), pony rides, hands-on feeding and grooming of horses, a zip line, outdoor rope course and more. Robyn Etzler of Fair Haven, who is co-chairing the event with Lester Mallet, also of Fair Haven, is excited about this family fun day. “We are looking forward to having a day to just mingle and relax with our members, friends and neighbors,” he said. “Congress Hills Farm is a 200-acre hidden gem and I am thrilled that everyone will be able to experience this unique setting this fall.”
Transportation to and from Congress Hill Farm will be provided from the CBI parking lot. The event will take place rain or shine. The cost is is $18 per family for CBI members and $36 per family for nonmembers.

Holy Cross School will host a preschool and kindergarten open house from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24, at the 40 Rumson Road school.
Parents will be able to tour the school, meet the teachers and learn about the formative educational program the school offers early learners.
Enrollment for 2015 pre-K and kindergarten classes opens Nov. 1.
