FAIR HAVEN

Great deals and fabulous finds are promised for Friday, April 27 and Saturday, April 28 for the borough’s annual Sizzlin’ Spring Sidewalk Sales.
A shopping extravaganza is promised by Fair Haven merchants who display their special merchandise on and off River Road outside their stores.
The Spring Sidewalk Sale is organized by the Fair Haven Business Association (FHBA) and is one of the components of its “Love Fair Haven” Campaign. The sale – and other events to come – help bring more attention to the benefits of shopping locally. By supporting small town businesses, area residents support your communities. Local businesses bring convenience to residents and bring back a quality of life from years’ past when local merchants were your friends and neighbors.
The “Love Fair Haven” campaign promotes the shops, restaurants, and businesses that provide products and services to the residents of Fair Haven and the surrounding communities.
Priscilla Bahr, owner of Nature’s Emporium on River Road, has been participating in the Fair Haven Sidewalk Sale for more than 38 years. “A few years ago, Michel Berger became president of the FHBA. With his drive and creativity, we have gone a long way toward unifying Fair Haven businesses and stimulating overall business growth in town,” she said.
Along with a strong FHBA Marketing Committee, headed by Carolyn Ferguson, the FHBA recently launched its new website, InFairHaven.com.
The FHBA will also be a major participant from May 5 to 12 in Pink Haven, during which Fair Haven once again will support Riverview Medical Center’s Paint the Town Pink campaign to promote breast cancer awareness and annual mammography.
LITTLE SILVER

Little Silver Public Library will be participating in the annual Little Silver Sidewalk Sales. The library will be offering gently used adult books, new “library edition” children’s picture books and chapter books as well as DVDs and books on CD.
