Stanley Abrams, 87, of Little Silver passed away on Sunday, March 19. Stanley was raised in Asbury Park by the late Aaron J and Bessie Abrams. He was a graduate of Asbury Park High School and the University of Alabama. A Korean War-era veteran, he was also a longtime member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary.
Stanley retired in 1995 from Baruch College in New York City as a manager of systems and programming. He loved to spend his time boating and fishing around Sandy Hook.
Stanley was predeceased by his wife, Ruth. Surviving are his three children, Renee Lucido of Columbia, South Carolina, Sandra Abrams of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Erik Abrams of Fanwood; one grandson, Gabriel; his brother, Robert Abrams of Florida; and his cherished friend Lynne Kraft, of Matawan.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 23 at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Ocean. Interment will follow at Temple Beth El Cemetery, Neptune.
