MIDDLETOWN – We Care Adult Care is hosting a free Caregiver’s Day Off from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20.
The event is being offered to give much needed respite to the overwhelmed caregivers so they can do some holiday shopping, go to lunch with a friend or simply enjoy the day.
Highlights of this event include stimulating activities throughout the day such as trivia, armchair exercise, holiday bingo, continental breakfast and catered lunch. This event is free and open to the public. Space is limited; reservations are required by calling 732-741-7363 no later than Monday, Dec. 15. “In today’s society many spouses and adult children are caring for a spouse or parent that may have physical limitations and/or memory impairment,” said Tracey L. Wolfman, administrator of We Care Adult Care. “The stress can be immense and we wanted to help caregivers enjoy a day off during the holiday season.”
We Care Adult Care is a Medical Adult Day Care Center which offers a quality of life for Monmouth County seniors during the day and allows them to return to their homes at night. Some of the benefits include nursing care, door-to-door transportation, daily catered meals, and stimulating activities, with a focus on Alzheimer’s and memory impairment.
