Affinity Foundation Accepting Scholarship Applications

AFFINITY FEDERAL CREDIT Union, New Jersey’s largest credit union, is once again accepting applications for its annual college scholarship program. The program is funded by the Affinity Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity corporation.

“We are proud to be able to offer support for our student members, especially in times of financial hardship and at a time when the cost of higher education may seem like only a dream for some,” said John T. Fenton, Affinity president & CEO. “To possibly make that dream of higher education a reality by offering the Affinity Scholarship year after year is something we hold in high regard.”

As part of its ongoing commitment to education, the Affinity Scholarship Program awards scholarships to individuals who meet the criteria for overall academic achievement, community involvement, extracurricular activities, demonstrated leadership and an essay composition that best captures these qualities. To be eligible, applicants must be graduating high school seniors who are members of Affinity and entering their freshman year at an accredited two- or four-year college or university.

Applications can be downloaded online at: www.affinityfcu.org/scholarship.

Scholarships are one-time-only awards and payable for the 2012-2013 academic year. Applications and all supporting materials can be submitted to any Affinity branch or Affinity Headquarters by Monday, April 30, 2012 at 3 p.m. For additional information about Affinity’s scholarship application, contact Christina Gaglione at (800) 325-0808 x3521 or christinag@affinityfcu.com.
