Patricia McAdams Aberle, born in Philadelphia to the late Helen S. Trautner McAdams and the late Ignatius McAdams, passed away at age 83 on April 2 in Sunnyside Manor, Wall.

Patricia was proud to have attended Little Flower High School and Loyola University.

Patricia was predeceased by her beloved siblings, Ignatius McAdams, Helen Foley and Susanna Kling. She is survived by her five sons, Stephen, Michael, Matthew, Timothy and James; two daughters, Patricia Aberle and Susan Gullion; daughters-in-law Ulrike, Kristen and Jean; son-in-law Tom Gullion; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Patricia is survived by her former husband of 25 years, Stephen P. Aberle Sr. of South Carolina. She is also survived by Martin Nesbitt whom she loved very much.

While still raising her family, Patricia returned to work, first at the Wareham, Massachusetts Town Hall. She also enjoyed working at Cap Gemini in midtown Manhattan as assistant to the CEO.

Patricia loved crossword puzzles, trivia, Scrabble and dancing. Patricia made it her mission to pay a sincere compliment to others every day. Donations in Patricia’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association and Downey Side, 219 Philadelphia Blvd., Sea Girt, NJ 08750 are welcome and appreciated.

Special thanks to the caregivers at Sunnyside Manor who laughed with Mom at the “girls’ club” in Mom’s room.

Beloved mother, grandmother and friend, you were beautiful, intelligent and loved by all.

Visitation was held April 5 at Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank. A Mass of Christian Burial took place at Holy Cross Church, Rumson, on April 6.
