Celeb1-1Leigh Amanda Sadacca and Marc Avigdor were married on Saturday, April 27, at the Pond in Central Park. The groom’s sister Juliette A. Portnoy, who is an officiant, performed the ceremony.
Amanda is the daughter of Constance E. Taylor, Quincy, Ill., and the late Dr. Robert Sadacca. The bride’s father retired as vice president for research at Human Resources Research Organization in Alexandria, Va. He was also an adjunct professor of statistics at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. The bride’s mother retired as a special education teacher from Union Mill Elementary School in Clifton, Va.
Amanda graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and received a doctoral degree in neuroscience from Harvard University. She is a postdoctoral fellow in biochemistry at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York.
Marc is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Sevi Avigdor, Rumson. The groom’s father is retired from the practice of surgical gastrointestinal endoscopy in Long Branch and is currently an assistant adjunct professor at the Columbia University School of Social Work, New York. The groom’s mother is retired from the practice of speech pathology and most recently retired as office manager at her husband’s medical practice.
Marc is a graduate of the Rumson Country Day School and Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School, Rumson. He graduated cum laude from Harvard and received a master’s degree in econometrics and mathematical economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science. He is currently a risk analyst at Blue Mountain Capital Management, New York.
The couple will reside in London.
