NEPTUNE – Military veterans in and around Monmouth County are invited to a special service session at American Legion Post 346 to discuss veteran’s benefits and service to the community.
All wartime veterans in the area are invited to American Legion Post 346, located at 21 Gully Road, to learn more about The American Legion and veteran benefits. Membership and veteran information staff plus members of American Legion Posts in Monmouth County will be available to kick off the community and veteran service campaign from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, March 31; from noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday April 1; and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 2.
A veteran service officer will also be available on Monday and Tuesday for all area veterans with claims or other veteran-related questions.
“Monmouth County is an ideal place to strengthen partnerships between the veterans and the community,” said James E. Amos, Jr., commander of The American Legion for the Department (state) of New Jersey. “The people here care about their community and practice good citizenship every day. Now, wartime veterans have a special place from which they can make a difference.”
