Annual Ladies Night Out Program Spotlights Women’s Health

LONG BRANCH – The Jacqueline M. Wilentz Compre­hensive Breast Center at Monmouth Medical Center will present a special women’s health event at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at Cervino’s at the Holiday Inn Hazlet Hotel at 2870 Highway 35 South in Hazlet.
The annual free event will feature a variety of health education presentations and screenings by a panel of women’s health experts.
During Ladies Night Out, Jorge Pardes, M.D., director of breast imaging, will discuss breast health; Loki Skylizard, M.D., chief of thoracic surgery, will discuss lung health; cardiologist Delia Dobrescu, M.D., will review women’s heart health; and urogynecologist Martin Michalewski, M.D., will discuss treatment options for urinary incontinence.
The program will be moderated by Dr. Robert Graebe, Monmouth Medical Center’s chairman of obstetrics and gynecology.
The free event includes a light dinner and beverages, giveaways and door prizes such as Broadway tickets and restaurant gift certificates, as well as Macy’s beauty mini makeovers and 107.1 The Breeze and Thunder 106.3 live on site.
Ladies Night Out will feature a variety of health screenings, including blood pressure, cholesterol and lung function and information about Monmouth Medical Center programs, including cardiac, cancer services, breast health, Chinese medical program, organ and tissue donation, robotic surgery and diabetes education.
In addition, program attendees will be able to participate in a tai chi demonstration.
 
The Jacqueline M. Wilentz Comprehensive Breast Center at Monmouth Medical Center operates three satellite facilities in Monmouth and Ocean counties. The Breast Center at Colts Neck is located at 310 Route 34 south; the Breast Center at Howell is located at 59 Kent Road in the Village Square Shopping Center, and the Breast Center at Kimball Medical Center is located at 500 River Ave. in Lakewood. All satellite facilities offer screening mammography services.
