Annual Purse Auction May 1 to Benefit VNA
RUMSON – The Children’s Auxiliary of Visiting Nurse Association Health Group (VNAHG) is planning its biannual “The Power of the Purse,” a ladies’ night out and purse auction.
The popular event will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at Rumson Country Club’s newly renovated Riverhouse. Tickets for the event are $125 and include hors d’oeuvres, buffet, beer, wine and a complimentary signature cocktail.
The evening includes silent and chance auctions of purses and bags from high-end designers including Tom Ford, Tory Burch, Longchamp, Brooks Brothers and Cole Haan. Proceeds from the evening will benefit VNA Health Group programs and services for children, helping to ensure that access to community-based care is a reality for families in need and providing care for children who are acutely and chronically ill, have developmental concerns and special needs as well parenting education and support to first-time, at-risk expectant mothers.

“This is an exciting, fun-filled evening for a great cause,” said Niki Sourlis, chairman, VNA Health Group Children’s Auxiliary. “The purses donated for this event are really spectacular and everyone has a great time, but in the end, it’s all about helping vulnerable children in our communities.”
