Joseph “Joey” D. Aurigemma, 51, of Hazlet, passed away on Friday, August 21 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel. He was born on December 15, 1963 in Staten Island, N.Y., where he grew up. In 1992, Joey and his wife, Mildred, settled in Hazlet to raise their family. He worked as a technician for Red Oak Operating LLC in Sayreville. Joey was also a proud United States Navy Veteran, having served aboard submarines for many years.
He was predeceased by his mother, Martha DeWan. Joey is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Mildred “Millie” (Jezycki) Aurigemma; his loving children, Dan Aurigemma and his fiancé Megan Fabrizio and Michele Aurigemma; his dear siblings, Jackie Trimarco and her husband Vinny of Staten Island, N.Y., Sal Aurigemma and his wife Joy of Tulsa, Okla., and Colleen Bolton of Jacksonville, Fla.; along with many cherished nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.
